Left Over Flowers

Fresh flowers actually have a life span as all would know. A way to keep your flowers fresh varies from changing the water everyday, trim off decaying items, spraying mist to flowers, etc.
Our solution is of course to order new flower arrangement when needed. Be sure to have our phone numbers on your speed dial. =)

Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year

I know it has been a long time..
For those of you who is unaware of what's happening on this Feb 14th this year.. Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day actually fall on the same day.
Of course, people have their preferences on how to (or not to) celebrate both events..
But a main similarity of these celebrations is of course the essence of flowers!
Red being symbolic of prosperity and good luck, I am sure there's no harm in spicing a little love into that.

July Actions

I can't believe the whole month have gone past. Blogging time again. I have thought of few blogs already that I'd like to post, however haven't gone around to do it just yet. So here it is our July actions:
Nikko Bridal Fair held on th 18-19th of this month and we were pleased to be selected as the decorator for Nusa Dua Beach Hotel at Jakarta Wedding Festival held on the 24 - 26th of this month.
Promise I will write stories about those 2 events..but for now we have a wedding to prepare. I will cover tomorrow's wedding in the next blogs too.

Mad Ad

Perfection: an ideal? Passion for perfection could be both an asset and liability. It's great that red gardenia as wedding decorator, strives for perfection all the time. Yet, considering limitations of time, resources, etc sometimes we need to settle for (near) perfection. Of course we improve continuously.

Passion for perfection is shared by many in our field of Bali wedding industry. In our first advertisement publication we collaborate with Eddie, Mata Photography. Another believer in passion for perfection, a dedicated photographer in our world of Bali wedding. During the photo shoot I took the liberty of taking a picture of the man behind the scene. I don't think we actually selected that particular photograph. But look at his effort to get the best shot. Thanks Eddie!



About the advertisement, red gardenia is in next edition of Her World Brides Indonesia! Mind you it's my first marketing ad. It's not perfect but close?

Buy the magazine and I guess you'd be the judge.

Inspirations

You've read this many times before I am sure: "Ideas come when you least expected."

Personal touches in any events brings about conversation or experiences that relate your guests to you. This store Cemal Cemil is a fascination to me because vintage goods like below can relived memories of my childhood.

Have a look at their ideas of reinventing past snacks and traditional toys (world way beyond computers and blogs). True Indonesian.



Then came the inspiration: imagine using these toys from the past, such as paper wind catchers at the bar table with flowers (of course) or favors on guests plates for your next casual party... even simply as playing snake and ladders at home with you loved ones. I am sure your guests will have something to talk about for a while... "Remember when..."

Don't forget to enjoy the snacks and smoke some chocolate cigarettes at the same time!
